Black Park: (1.9 miles). is a country park which covers 530 acres of woodland, heathland and grassland. A delightful lake complete with lakeside cafe.
As Black Park is adjacent to Pinewood Film Studios it has been used extensively for location filming; some of the larger films have included James Bond, Dracula, Harry Potter, Batman, Monty Python, Doctor Who and Bugsy Malone to name a few.
It is very popular with walkers, joggers, cyclists, (bikes can be hired at the park) or those simply wishing to escape from the hustle and bustle.
Stoke Park: (2.9miles) is a luxurious sporting and leisure estate set with grounds in excess of 300 acres. The Estate benefits from world renowned facilities and amenities.
The Club Part of the Estate is The Pavilion which features a health and beauty spa, swimming pool, fitness studio and gym. Part of Stoke Park is a 27 hole golf course which is considered one of the Top 100 courses of the world.
Bekonscot (6.9 miles) The world's oldest and original model village and railway spread over 1.5 acres.
It harks back to England in the 1930's and allows you (old and young) to
Model Village discover a wonderful world in miniature tucked away from "the real world".
Cliveden: (7.4 miles) Now owned by the National Trust this is an estate with an unparalled history.
It has been home to an Earl, three countesses, two Dukes, a Prince of the House Wales and the Viscounts Astor.
It was of course the setting for many key events in the Profumo Affair.
Windsor: (8.6 miles) Wonderful Windsor Castle and of course The Long Walk are always popular attractions with visitors.
A guided tour of the Castle or a stroll down The Castle Long Walk is sought after way to spend a day.
The Queens favoured weekend home is also the oldest inhabited castle in the world.
